With dramatic mountain ranges of craggy peaks, interspersed with heather moorland, ancient Caledonian pine forests, serene glens and brooding lochs, Scotland is home to some of the UK’s most magnificent landscapes. Concentrating mainly upon the Highlands of Scotland, I’ve divided the vast area of the Scottish Highlands into individual regions to illustrate the varied countryside that lies within.
